I am attempting to run the ypbind client on a vserver.
This requires portmap to be running before it can start.
The default start for vserver is runlevel 2.
At runlevel 2 it does not start portmap before nis.

Making a new softlink appears to fix the problem like such:
cd /etc/rc2.d
ln -s ../init.d/portmap S10portmap

So making sure portmap starts before nis, fixes the problem.
Would this be debian reportable bug?
