Just to end this thread I've ended up with defining "all" in the conf file
instead of relying on vserver to figure it out automatically.
IPROOT="x.x.132.118"
IPROOTBCAST="x.x.132.255"
IPROOTMASK="255.255.255.248"
IPROOTDEV="eth0"
S_HOSTNAME="vsmon1"
S_DOMAINNAME="vsmon1.domain.com"
S_CONTEXT="1002"
