Hi list

I'm using Debian Sarge inside some vservers and it's all running on Debian
Woody (root server) patched with vserver 1.29 on top of kernel 2.4.28.

I've noticed that sometimes the vservers looses it's network connectivity.

Last 2 occurences was
01.51 - 01.53, 2 minutes last night
08.26 - 08.33, 7 minutes this morning

Kernel IP routing table:
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface
xxx.xxx.132.112 * U 0 0 0 eth0
xxx.xxx.134.224 * U 0 0 0 eth0 * U 0 0 0 eth1
default xxx.xxx.134.225 UG 0 0 0 eth0

xxx.xxx.132.114 - xxx.xxx.132.118 is used by vservers.

I have no idea what is causing this. I'm not able to see any errors in the log
except that all services (mailserver etc.) report network loss about the same

Also, I'm pretty confused about whether to use the 2.4 or 2.6 kernel and if
2.6 will solve my problem.
I guess one of the answers I will receive now will be "upgrade to 2.6 to see
if that works", but I don't understand this answer since 2.4 is stable. Maybe
an upgrade won't even help.

Is there a way I could give more information to point out my problem?

Med venlig hilsen / Best regards
