emerge -p linux-headers
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild R ] sys-kernel/linux-headers-2.6.8.1-r2
emerge linux-headers would emerge the 2.6 headers in my case - run an
emerge sync prior to the emerge, just to make sure.
