yes, that would be possible, but it would probably be
easier to 'just' replace the commands in question by
links to /bin/true ...

well, yes and no, basically all _hardware_ related
stuff is 'evil' inside a guest and should not be
executed, so removing hardware related runlevel
scripts (links) is a sane thing to do ...
