[Vserver] Debian kernel patch fails

Hi all,

I've been trying to set up a new vserver box under Debian Sarge by
following this HOWTO
http://deb.riseup.net/vserver/preparing/

I've always managed to compile and run vservers fine thanks to this HOWTO.
However, the new box and trying to get running (based on an old 700MHz
Celeron) is causing me some trouble.
Compiling the kernel (2.6.15) seems to work fine, however after
rebooting on the patched kernel 'vserver-info' returns this :
