Slightly different feedback here.
I've been using 2.6.22-18.104.22.168 with Harry's IPv6 + Grsec patch for quite a while with no adverse side-effects.
However I am considering switching to the 2.3 series, but more because of features in the Linux kernel itself rather than VServer features.
YMMV of course :-)
