Hello list,

I recently upgraded OpenRC on one of my Gentoo hosts. Versions > 0.9.7
include some form of cgroup management in /etc/init.d/sysfs that
conflicts with util-vserver's way of mounting it. Even with
0.30.216_pre3004 I couldn't get the util-vserver init script to start.

This is annoying, because it means vservers will no longer be started at
boot time.

I haven't had much time to look into it so far, so I've downgraded to
the previous stable version (0.9.4) to work around this problem. I
haven't tried the rc_cgroup option, something in [1] seems to indicate
that it would be non-standard. Again, I haven't ingestigated this yet.

Cheers
