as if I knew it ..
I spent an evening trying to compile a complex C/C++
package with gcc-3.2 (which is very unforgiving)
so it might be, that some code isn't up to date for
gcc-3.2 ... on the other hand, it is plain C code ...
I know, redhat does not give you any chance to use
any previous/other compiler (because the distro has
no egcs/ gcc-2.95.3 etc anymore) but maybe you could
try it with a self compiled 2.95.3 or egcs 1.1.2 ...
I'll see maybe I'll find a rh-8.0 system where I could
check the code ...
