FWIW I experienced pretty much the same symptoms when I tried
patch-2.4.21-pre4-ac6-ctx16. I noticed that no matter what I did, DNS
simply did not work. Unfortunately it was very late & I didn't have much
time to analyze the situation.

Sam, if you'd like me to collect certain information, please let me know &
I'll try to get what you need with some testing.
