You'll have to excuse yet another question that I am not able to figure out
the answer to with out a pointer in the right direction.
I was just having a look at creating filesystems on loopback devices as a
way of setting up disk quotas as suggested earlier on this list.
An interesting effect I noticed while doing this is that if I do a "df" in
the new vserver it says "unable to read table of mounted filesystems"
If I cat /etc/mtab it is blank.
If I set up a vserver on a normal filesystem, not a loopback one I get
/dev/hdv1 which shows up the correct information for the filesystem.
I did note that when I did a ls in /dev I didn't have a hdv1 listed in the
loopback filesystem image.
Can anyone think of a reason that mtab isn't being created for a loopback
filesystem and it is on a real one.
