okay, sounds perfectly fine to me then.

you ping the host (on one of it's IPs) and it
answers (from one of it's IPs), as no 'routing'
per se is happening here, and all goes over
the lo device, it should be fine, shouldn't it?

(would be an issue if you ping it from outside
 and it answers from a different, not routed IP)
