By default, the guest is locked to the host clock,
so it is the same time/date, but the guest can
interpret the time differently by applying a
custom timezone (e.g. EST, CET, UTC ...)

There is no need to run NTP on the guest in this
setup, as it will be synced via the NTP on the host.

If you want to have a different (unsynced) time in
the guest, you can enable the VIRT_TIME option, which
allows you to have a completely different time (not
just time zone) inside the guest.
